I just picked up the "Complete BF2 Collection" for $49 at Future Shop. It has BF2, Special Forces, Euro Force and Armored Fury all in one box. If that's too steep for ya, you can get BF2 and Special Forces for $39, or BF2 by itself for $25. London Drugs also has all the same combos at the same prices. I didn't check Walmart or EB Games, but I'm pretty sure they'll have them as well.
We're also planning on trying out the Project Reality mod for BF2. Its a 1.7Gb free download that totally makes over the game and should be a lot of fun. Don't worry if you don't have time to download it, we'll make sure its on a local FTP ready for your enjoyment.
As for "not quite legit" copies, you're on your own. In the past we have been known to pass around games to those who don't have them, but this time around we've decided to draw a line in the sand. We all get a lot of enjoyment out of the games and its only fair that we show some love to the developers by getting legit. Really, we're playing old stuff that in the bargain bins almost everywhere anyway. If you can't afford to buy the game everyone is playing, then bring whatever you do have to play instead. You might be surprised who else shows up with it.
(Zaryne, I'm not targeting you specifically with these comments, you just happened to remind me to say something about it.)
