Ok, here is the info , sorry for the delay,

http://www.edimensional.com/?ref=73&gclid=COa-1ovs5YwCFSZghgodNEoMyA this is where i got my glasses, and they also have projectors and setups for consoles and so on.

http://mtbs3d.com/ Is where i get my setup for games info and so on.

http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showforum=40 and here is the forum to keep track of nvidia support

so yeah, enjoy,

I suggest that if you want to get some glasses go for the wired, because the wireless used two batteries that are 5:00 each. Of coarse the source has a warranty that you can put on them and if they die to can replace them twice, so you get three battery's for the price of one.

I am going to get wired ones myself that way company can use the wireless.

Than again I am looking into these , https://www.icuiti.com/VR920_store.php , that is as good as it gets until you get a projector.

Enjoy

Re: 3d Stereo glasses and such

I was quite impressed with your setup Slimmoo. I had tried 3D glasses on an ASUS nVidia card years and years ago but the frame rates and game support just weren't there. Seems as though they've got most of that worked out now as your setup rocked! Thanks for letting everyone try out your stuff!

The really cool part was that even with my lazy eye and non-existent depth perception, even I was able to see in 3D. I was pretty stoked about it! Might have to invest in some for my Xbox360... get some 3D racing action going!

Re: 3d Stereo glasses and such
Well I'm glad that people enjoyed it, I hope next time we have an event that I'm not the only one looking goofy :)

Plus it would be nice to have some people to disscuss setting and so on for games. The forums I mentioned before are great but response time sucks.

Anyways, Stereo 3d rocks!!

Re: 3d Stereo glasses and such

Hey Slimmoo,

So I was very impressed with your 3d glasses at WOLF and went and ordered them.  They arrived yesterday and I'm having some troubles. When I activate them in WoW, they switch  to 3d mode BUT the image in the mini-map in the top right of the screen is moved to the center and increased in size to fill the screen.  I can only see past it in the corners and what I see there is 3d.  If I minimize the map I instead have a block of unrendered landscape right through the middle of my field.  I can't do anything to correct this glitch.  If you need to see what I'm talking about I can post some screen shots. I've been all over the net and haven't found anyone with anything close to this issue.  MY specs are:

AMD athlon 64 X2 Dual Processor 3800+, 2010 MHz

NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT 256 MB

2 GB DDR SDRAM PC3200

Samsung SyncMaster  17in LCD monitor with 8ms and upto 75 Hz refresh rate.

As far as I know I have all the latest drivers.  I have followed the steps given by eDimensional (I have the wired set).

Thanks for your assistance.

Hey,

That is great to hear, im soo excited lol,

And the cool thing is that you have like the same setup as me.

Btw sorry i didn't reply back till now, I will check this more often now:)

Ok first things first, are you using the e-demsional drivers or the nvidia stereo drivers?

Re: 3d Stereo glasses and such
Since you have the same gpu i do you will need to get the nvidia stereo drivers, and right now the ones i am using are 94.24 , also make sure that stereo drivers you use are the same version as the forceware drivers you get from nvidia.

Also, make sure that you turn veritical sync off in wow, and turn off vertex animation shaders, than they should work properly. Oh and make sure that your not running the game in windowed mode, you need to be in fullscreen.

Tell me if that helps at all,

Slimmoo

Re: 3d Stereo glasses and such

Thanks for the info.  had to wait awhile before trying as I had visitors in town...

However, the glasses still aren't working.  You are using the nvidia stereo drivers and eDimensional states that if you have an LCD monitor not to use those drivers.  Having said that, I tried them anyways and download the latest version (94.24).  When I test them in the nvidia stereo setup the glasses engage but I can not see the little square in front of the big square, nor is it 3d when the 3d test is running (the one where the nvidia letters rotate and move forward and backwards along with the nvidia logo).  The glasses are on and working.

Are there any other settings I need to change in the nvidia stereo setup?  When it comes to 3d I'm a noob so please be specific.  I have no idea what anti-aliasing or anything is.

Re: 3d Stereo glasses and such
Ooooooh, I didn't pick up that you had a LCD,

I don't know much about the Lcd side of the 3d glasses, my lcd didn't have enough power so it wouln't even show anythying at all when I tryed it, I was supposed to send away for some hook up or something.

Anywho, LCD stereo 3d is supposed to have issues, I know they say that they work but I have never gotten them working. Wouldn't mind trying to get them working though.

Perhaps Lee will let me bring my tower to work and try it out on our nice LCD's at work ;)

So i don't know much about the e-demensional drivers, but i will look into my sources to find more info for you. Sorry that you havn't gotten them working.

Worst case you will have to get a crt to play with 3d stereo.

BTW which ones did you get? Wireless or Wired?

Re: 3d Stereo glasses and such

Ya, I've tried several times with them and it's not going to work.  If you know anyone that still uses CRT and is interested I'd be willing to sell them.  They are the wired ones actually...based on your recommendation.  Thanks for the info. and help. Too bad they don't work but this technology is bleeding edge right now so I'm sure something effective will come along soon enough :)

Re: 3d Stereo glasses and such
Hey

Well I'm bringing my stuff into work to use a lcd that i think will work, so i can give you better support on it.

But hey if you really can't get them working I will buy the wired ones from you. I shoulda gotten those in the first place, and if i had those i would use the 3d all the time.

:)

hopefully though we can get them working if your still willing to try.

:)

Re: 3d Stereo glasses and such
Hey,

Bad news, I couldn't get them to work either, it's messed up , they won't send a signal to the galsses when you go into the game, and than i couldn't get them to shut off when they were in the desktop. Really messed up. And E-dimensional shouldn't say that LCD's can be used unless they have an actual forum to teach us how to use them. All they have is a knowledge base which is full of dumb questions and no answers.

Anywho, sorry that this turned out this way. Perhaps in a year or so you will be able to buy one of the LCD's from this place, http://www.iz3d.com/ , I think that is the direction that stereo 3d is going.

Anyways i have to get all this stuff packed up and back to normal or Lee will kick my ass! :) ;(

Re: 3d Stereo glasses and such
I got a set of the wireless ones from EDimentional and I started up WOW... the title screen looked OK and the character selection looked AWSOME... BUT... when I entered the game I got a huge ugly map looking thing that looked like it was running at 640-480 res on my hi-res monitor and I couldn't get rid of it.

I then went to the EDimentional webpage to see if there were any software updates or new drivers... THIS was a huge mistake.  Not only did it not fix my problem, but NONE of my 3D games would even LOAD, let alone run in 3D.

I uninstalled my video drivers and re-installed them, this time without the 3D glass's drivers and everything started to work again.  I'm now a little leary to re-load the software for the glasses until I figure out what happened.

Slimmo, can I get ur email addy?  Are you having problems running WOW with them (are you still using them?)
Hellfire, if Slimmoo doesn't read this, do you know his email addy?

thnx

Re: 3d Stereo glasses and such
Hello,

Wow I didn't even notice anyone was still posting about this stuff. I do still play wow with the glasses and I can probably get it to work on your computer. Are you using a Crt? Also I will need to know what your graphics card is. What version on drivers you are using.

My e-mail Address is Slimmoo@gmail.com, send me some mail and I will hook you up with a bunch of resources.
